  • Chungbuk is located in the central part of the Korean Peninsula on the eastern coast of the Asian continent. It not only boasts the cleanest natural environment in South Korea but also serves as the birthplace of Jungwon culture. It is well-connected with transportation networks like Cheongju International Airport, high-speed railways, grid-shaped expressways, and X-shaped railroads, allowing access to any location in the country within a two-hour range.
  • With a strong focus on fostering six new growth industries, including the bio and healthcare industries, cosmetics and beauty, organic food, new transportation and aviation, ICT, and convergence, Chungbuk is emerging as a leading hub of cutting-edge industries that will lead South Korea's future.   • In Osong, Chungbuk, an advanced medical complex is being developed to become the top Bio Hub in Northeast Asia. This hub hosts six national agencies, including the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institute of Health, the National Institute of Food and Drug Safety Evaluation, the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, and the Korea Health Personnel Licensing Examination Institute. In addition to these, it is a focal point for the cutting-edge biohealthcare industry, housing pharmaceutical companies, medical device firms, and other advanced medical industries.

  • Chungbuk has been engaged in medical field exchanges and collaborations with various countries, including China, Mongolia, Russia, CIS countries, and Southeast Asian nations. Through the overseas expansion of Chungbuk's medical institutions and local promotion and marketing support, they have been able to introduce customized medical products to the global market.
  • Every year, Fam tours and medical product briefings are conducted to attract foreign patients. Programs are also operated where foreign patients can directly experience specialized medical services such as surgery, examinations, skincare, plastic surgery, and dental treatments at medical institutions.   • Chungbuk is part of the 5 major tourism regions in South Korea, known as the Chungcheong Tourism Region, which is divided into three areas: the central region (Cheongju, Jeungpyeong, Goesan, Jincheon, Eumseong), the northern region (Chungju, Jecheon, Danyang), and the southern region (Boeun, Okcheon, Yeongdong). In the central region, you can find tourist attractions like "Cheongnamdae (Cheongju)," formerly known as the southern presidential residence, the folk village "Munui Cultural Heritage Village (Cheongju)," where you can see Daechungho Lake at a glance, the "Edufarm Special Zone Tourist Site (Jeungpyeong)," equipped with golf courses, water leisure activities, sheep farms, and amusement rides, and the iconic "Sanmakyiyet-gil Trail (Goesan)," known for its trekking trails through mountain villages.
  • In the northern region, there are attractions like the "Mancheonha Skywalk (Danyang)," offering a breathtaking view of the Namhan River from a 90m cliff, the first of the eight scenic spots of Danyang, "Dodamsambong Peaks (Danyang)," "Uirimji Reservoir (Jecheon)," the oldest reservoir in South Korea, "Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Village (Jecheon)," preserving the beautiful landscape of Cheongpung Lake, and the "Jungangtap Historic Park (Chungju)," conserving the National Treasure No. 6, the sevenstory stone pagoda of Tap-sa Temple, and the "Tangeomho Lake Rainbow Road (Chungju)," where you can enjoy the natural scenery of Tangeomho Lake.
